About us

The Center For Research and Development Solidarity (CRDS) was established in 2006 as a popular participatory action research (PPAR) and training and professional development initiative of the Visionaries of Creative Action for Liberation and Progress (VICALP), an Adivasi (Scheduled Tribes/ST), Dalit (Scheduled Caste/SC) and Other Backward Caste (OBC) organization in South Odisha. CRDS is Governed by a Board and recognizes its’ date of establishment each year on January 26th, India’s Republic Day.

As a popular participatory action research initiative, CRDS undertakes research that is socially relevant to SC-ST-OBC and marginalized social groups in the state of Odisha.
